Supply Chain Buyer (multiple openings) in Costa Rica (Semiconductor): Purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, and services for semiconductor equipment manufacturing facilities with an accent on inventory monitoring, delivery scheduling, and supplier coordination. Focus on SAP and MRP operations, negotiating with suppliers, and solving procurement and supply planning challenges across operational, NPI, and transactional buying functions.

Location: Heredia, Costa Rica; 100% onsite with no hybrid or remote option

What you will do

  • Purchase materials, supplies, machinery, and services for manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor inventory and manage delivery scheduling.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to maintain material availability.
  • Support operational, NPI, transactional buying, and purchasing specialist functions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contribute to procurement planning and problem solving.

Requirements

  • English proficiency in writing, speaking, and reading is required.
  • 1–3 years of purchasing experience for Buyer I, 3–5 years for Buyer II, or 6+ years for Buyer III; less than one year may be considered for Buyer I.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and MRP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; stronger analytical skills are expected at Buyer III level.
  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, management, business, engineering, or STEM is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

  • APICS or CPM certification.
  • Supplier negotiation and project management experience.
  • Understanding of engineering specifications and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
