Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and develop custom automation tools and testing processes for exchange connectivity and market data systems on Linux.
• Lead the development and enhancement of an integration test environment and troubleshoot system issues.
• Learn application details to identify and resolve obscure problems.
• Collaborate with developers, traders, support staff, Trading, Quantitative Research, Infrastructure, and Strategy Developer teams.
• Monitor production performance and contribute to testing, deployment, and process improvement automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience working as a Test Engineer in a software development organization.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and building automated test frameworks.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language, preferably C++ or Python, and high proficiency with Linux.
• Ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, and solve business and technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with large datasets and network programming.
• Understanding of distributed systems and trading technology.
