Customer Engineer II-ETCH (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Hefei, China; on-site work with approximately 20% travel

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment alongside senior field service engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to support smooth equipment operation.
• Follow on-site safety, environmental, clean-room, and COVID-19 requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer or field service experience, or experience in a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues, with mechanical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet physical and on-site requirements.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of customer or field service experience, or experience in a related technical field.
