Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid. Travel to client sites may be required.

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, constraints, and goals, and define the underlying problem.
• Build production systems using APIs, models, and internal tools.
• Prototype, deploy, iterate, and maintain systems that customers use with real-world data.
• Own projects end to end, from the initial customer conversation through deployment.
• Develop solutions around platform gaps and identify recurring patterns for productization with platform and R&D teams.
• Use AI to accelerate implementation while applying engineering judgment to build reliable systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with software shipped end to end.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or a similar general-purpose language.
• Ability to work across the stack and learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

• Experience shipping real systems used by real users.
• High agency and strong prioritization in ambiguous environments.
• Experience defining solutions without a predefined path.
• Experience working directly with customers and translating their needs into implemented systems.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
