Senior Field Security Investigator - Tucson, AZ

Location: Remote within the United States; applicant must reside in a commutable location to Melbourne, FL

Salary: $29.51–$37.65 per hour

What you will do

• Investigate suspected fraud and other illegal activities against the company.
• Conduct interviews, obtain statements, make database inquiries, and locate witnesses and other information sources.
• Evaluate evidence and information credibility, draw investigative conclusions, and manage complex cases or fraud rings.
• Refer and coordinate investigation assignments with outside agencies.
• Provide training and support to departments involved in claims handling.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or qualifying professional investigation experience.
• Five years of insurance claims investigative, law enforcement, or related professional investigation experience, or seven years of experience involving economic or insurance-related matters.
• Experience handling in-person or telephone statements and documenting investigative files clearly and professionally.
• Ability to gather evidence, organize investigative workloads, manage stressful situations, and work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and permits.
• Ability to perform field duties involving vehicles, equipment, lifting, carrying, climbing, and maintaining awareness of surroundings.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree or higher.
• SIU investigations experience and experience working across diverse SIU functions.
• Experience with financial, casualty, bodily injury, workers’ compensation, commercial, marine, auto, property, or underwriting fraud investigations.
• Knowledge of public record systems, claims databases, policy databases, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology.
• Professional designations such as CIFI, CFE, FCLA, or CPCU.
