Data & AI Senior Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

What you will do

• Define, implement, and maintain engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices across Data & AI platforms.
• Guide engineering teams in designing, developing, and operating scalable, production-ready data solutions.
• Establish standards for data pipelines, data products, semantic models, access management, lineage, workspaces, monitoring, and observability.
• Drive adoption of Azure, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and related Data & AI platform capabilities.
• Promote CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, environment management, DataOps, FinOps, and operational excellence.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives while contributing to platform strategy and mentoring engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Data & AI Platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms, architectures, scalable data pipelines, and data products.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of data lakes, lakehouses, analytics architectures, governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, and access control.
• Experience with DevOps and DataOps, including CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and lifecycle management across development, pre-production, and production.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
