What you will do

• Define objectives, outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource plans for systems engineering projects and programs.
• Ensure projects and programs meet product and process specifications, cost targets, resource requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Lead multiple related teams, assign work, allocate resources, and support professional development and productivity.
• Direct research and development of new technologies and incorporate new processes, designs, and methodologies into products and services.
• Manage departmental budgets, computing resources, documentation, reporting, and compliance with engineering, patent, confidentiality, ISO, and safety requirements.
• Develop personnel through hiring, performance management, coaching, training, career development, and reward and discipline processes.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering concepts and related job families.
• In-depth understanding of how the discipline integrates within the business segment or function.
• Experience managing multiple related teams, setting organizational priorities, and allocating resources.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems.
• Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
