Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer (Space Infrastructure)

Location: Based at the Los Angeles headquarters in Torrance, California, with frequent travel to domestic and international ground station sites

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 base salary per year, plus equity and possible performance bonuses

hirify.global is a space infrastructure company building a global network of phased-array ground stations for reliable, real-time satellite communications.

What you will do

• Own uptime and performance for a growing global fleet of antenna systems.
• Operate and expand the Network Operations Center by monitoring site health, interpreting telemetry, sending commands, and coordinating incident response.
• Lead hardware deployment campaigns and site checkouts at remote locations, from pre-deployment through first contact.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes that reduce recurrence.
• Build and coordinate a regional contractor ecosystem, including maintenance agreements, SLAs, onboarding, and sparing strategies.
• Partner with product, manufacturing, and test teams to improve reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and diverse teams.
• Hands-on field experience with hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and field diagnostics.
• Comfort writing and running code such as Python, SQL, or other scripting languages.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed and meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience operating hardware systems in a live environment, interpreting telemetry, sending commands, and troubleshooting in real time.
• Experience managing field operations, contractors, or vendor relationships across multiple sites.
• Proficiency in 2D or 3D CAD.
• Experience in failure analysis, product engineering, quality, or service for consumer electronics or automotive systems.
