Identity & Access Management (IAM) Operations Engineer, Senior (Okta)

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Okta Workforce Identity, including secure authentication, SSO, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Okta integrations, workflows, federated identity configurations, APIs, and application onboarding.
• Implement federated identity models using SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, and WebAuthN.
• Support scalable CIAM authentication and authorization experiences using platforms such as ForgeRock, Okta Customer Identity, or Auth0.
• Collaborate with governance, incident response, and engineering teams to maintain secure and compliant workforce and customer access controls.
• Lead technical efforts during identity-related security incidents and drive continuous IAM improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Identity and Access Management experience, primarily focused on Okta Workforce Identity.
• Hands-on experience with Okta SSO, MFA, automated lifecycle workflows, and API integrations.
• Strong CIAM experience, including customer authentication flows and identity governance.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, API Access Management, RBAC, and access governance.
• Knowledge of SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS compliance requirements, plus experience with ITIL, Lean, or Agile methods and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PAM capabilities such as Just-In-Time access, session monitoring, and credential rotation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• IAM certifications such as Okta, ISC2 SSCP, or CISSP Associate.
• Experience integrating IAM or CIAM with AWS or Azure.
