Senior Network Automation & Configuration Management Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design and maintain network automation platforms for routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless infrastructure, and cloud networking services.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, APIs, self-service provisioning workflows, and event-driven deployment and remediation processes.
• Define golden configurations and implement compliance validation, drift detection, policy enforcement, backups, recovery, and audit capabilities.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code adoption, reusable modules, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated configuration testing.
• Automate routing, switching, firewall, load balancing, SD-WAN, and hybrid-cloud network environments while troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Mentor junior engineers, establish engineering standards, participate in architecture reviews, and drive DevOps and NetDevOps practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of network engineering experience and 5+ years developing network automation and configuration management solutions.
• Large-scale enterprise or data center networking experience supporting highly available production infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Git, REST APIs, YAML/JSON, and Linux.
• Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, Layer 2/3 networking, firewalls, SD-WAN, and load balancing.
• Experience with configuration templating, golden configuration frameworks, compliance validation, drift detection, source-of-truth systems, and change automation.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes networking, hybrid-cloud connectivity, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines; a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nornir, Terraform, Go, Bash, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
• Experience with NetBox, SONiC, open networking, software-defined networking, OpenStack, ServiceNow, or GitOps-driven infrastructure deployments.
• CCNP, CCIE, DevNet Professional, Terraform, AWS/Azure Networking, or Red Hat Automation certifications.
