Senior Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Engineering (Linux), OS Team (Linux)

What you will do

• Build and improve secure, highly available, high-performance containerized platforms and applications.
• Deploy, scale, and manage the lifecycle of containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and related orchestration platforms.
• Develop best practices and standards for container runtime technology.
• Integrate container runtimes with the broader technology stack and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Implement security controls to protect container runtimes from vulnerabilities and threats.
• Work with quality assurance teams to improve the reliability and efficiency of container runtime solutions.

Requirements

• Deep Linux technical knowledge, including experience with the Linux kernel.
• Fluency in Rust, Golang, and/or C.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, Linux packaging, and operating system image construction.
• Experience with PaaS and IaaS, architecture and design, CI/CD pipelines, and open-source development tools.
• At least 10 years of professional PaaS and IaaS experience and 10 years of Linux experience.
• At least 8 years of architecture and design experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• At least 6 years of experience with open-source projects.
