Principal Product Manager, Experimentation & Digital Analytics

Location: Hybrid, with on-site presence 2–3 days per week in Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA; or Bethesda, MD

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for experimentation and digital analytics platforms.
• Drive adoption of self-service experimentation, behavioral analytics, automation, and insight-generation tools across product, design, engineering, marketing, and analytics teams.
• Define experimentation standards, statistical guardrails, metric definitions, governance, and peer-review processes.
• Partner with data science, engineering, analytics, and technology leaders on platform architecture, instrumentation, measurement pipelines, and scalable delivery.
• Lead platform capabilities through the full product lifecycle, including research, requirements, prioritization, backlog management, rollout, and release quality.
• Define platform health and impact metrics while promoting experimentation and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a quantitative degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or engineering is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of product management experience with significant ownership of broadly used platforms, tools, or data and analytics products.
• Experience building, scaling, or leading an experimentation program or platform, such as A/B testing infrastructure, feature flagging, or causal measurement.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of experimental design, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, statistical power, confidence intervals, false-positive control, and variance reduction.
• Proven ability to drive adoption of self-service platforms, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate complex technical and statistical concepts.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with causal inference, sequential testing, CUPED, heterogeneous treatment effects, difference-in-differences, or synthetic controls.
• Hands-on fluency in SQL, Python, and/or R, plus experience defining digital analytics instrumentation and event schemas.
• Experience with clickstream, session replay, funnel, journey analysis, ML evaluation, or personalization experimentation.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
