Senior Accountant, Program Accounting

What you will do

• Research contracts and regulations to calculate payments to regulatory authorities.
• Reconcile balance sheets to the general ledger, investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend adjustments.
• Prepare and support monthly journal entries with appropriate documentation.
• Review financial statements and operating trends against forecasts, budgets, and prior-year results.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze data for management review.
• Develop automated Oracle routines and streamline accounting processes.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of coursework and professional experience.
• Experience with accounting, journal entries, balance sheets, financial reports, and financial statements.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including availability for nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime when needed.
