Data Science Professional (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Apply data science, machine learning and AI techniques to complex datasets and operational security challenges.
• Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define cyber and network problems where data science can add value.
• Acquire, combine and analyse large-scale telecoms, DNS, network and cybersecurity data to identify risks, anomalies and threat patterns.
• Develop machine learning models, anomaly detection, graph analytics, big data pipelines, visualisations and reporting.
• Use Python, SQL and distributed data processing technologies to build scalable and reusable analytical capabilities.
• Translate complex analysis into recommendations and presentations while collaborating with data scientists, engineers, cyber specialists and product teams.

Requirements

• Experience using Python, R or similar tools for analysis, modelling, visualisation or automation.
• Understanding of exploratory data analysis, statistical reasoning, machine learning, summarisation and visualisation.
• Ability to work with complex or messy datasets and produce useful insight.
• DV-level Security Clearance is required.
• Onsite attendance five days per week is required in London, Manchester, Ipswich or Cheltenham.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale data, Apache Spark, cloud platforms or distributed processing environments.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, malware, DNS, networking, telecommunications data or threat intelligence.
• Experience turning analysis beyond notebooks into reusable pipelines, services or production-ready capabilities.
