Software Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, or New York, New York; must work from the NY or SF office from January 25 to April 16.

Salary: $57/hour for bachelor's degree candidates and $61/hour for master's degree candidates in San Francisco or New York City.

What you will do

• Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code.
• Design and enhance Notion with new capabilities using an AI-first mindset.
• Develop, fix, and debug software across the full stack, including web services, databases, applications, and tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to solve product and technical problems.
• Use modern frameworks and tooling while adapting to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with graduation before December 2027.
• Previous internship experience.
• Working proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
• Ability to problem-solve, communicate clearly, collaborate with teammates, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work from the San Francisco or New York office from January 25 to April 16.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React, or Python.
• Built or prototyped features with AI technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, or machine learning.
• Interest in computing history and fields outside technology, such as art, history, or social sciences.
