Data Engineering Manager, Customer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers, including career growth and performance management.
• Guide delivery of scalable data solutions across the customer domain while balancing speed, quality, and business priorities.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, architectural guidance, and support with complex engineering challenges.
• Set standards for scalable, testable, reliable, and high-performing data solutions.
• Advance AI-enabled software development lifecycle practices and agentic coding workflows.
• Partner with Technical Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Delivery Managers on technical direction and delivery.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of technical management experience with direct people leadership, coaching, career development, and performance management.
• Strong Data Engineering background with hands-on SQL experience across data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Airflow, Terraform, Python, and Datadog.
• Hands-on experience with multi-step AI development loops for building, testing, and shipping code.
• Strong technical communication, mentorship, team-building, ownership, and accountability skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building or implementing a Customer 360 or Customer Data Platform.
