Senior Backend .NET Developer (Digital Health)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; significant onsite work at the customer is required

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate backend services and server-side components for business-critical healthcare applications.
• Build REST APIs, integrations, messaging solutions, and asynchronous communication across a complex application landscape.
• Contribute to application design, data modelling, technical decisions, resilience, scalability, high availability, and operational stability.
• Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using containerised deployment and modern infrastructure practices.
• Implement logging, monitoring, observability, secure coding, automated testing, documentation, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with developers, solution architects, testers, DevOps specialists, product stakeholders, and other suppliers from analysis through delivery.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET or .NET Core.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, backend service development, REST APIs, and systems integration.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, messaging technologies, SQL, data modelling, and transactional systems.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated delivery pipelines, Git, automated testing, and quality engineering.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, secure software development, observability, resilience patterns, and highly available systems.
• Fluent spoken and written Danish and English, with significant onsite work in Copenhagen required.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, Danish public-sector IT, or other complex and regulated environments.
• Experience with Kafka or comparable messaging technologies.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design, Azure DevOps, Agile software development, and modern software architecture principles.
