Product Security Engineer III (Healthcare Security)

Location: Remote, USA; flexibility to work from home or in the office depending on business and personal needs.

Salary: $157,250–$185,000 per year, plus bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Create and extend security services, tools, and libraries that help product and platform engineers build, deploy, and maintain hirify.global products safely.
• Serve as a security partner for multiple engineering teams throughout the secure software development lifecycle.
• Evangelize security practices, threat model features, and incorporate security into product and system designs.
• Review application code and security implementations.
• Contribute to security automation projects, including static analysis, vulnerability management, and asset inventory.
• Build secure paths for engineering teams, including improvements to single sign-on, credential management, and encrypted multi-tenant vault solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with security code review, threat modeling, or security architecture reviews.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Kotlin, with familiarity with modern industry-standard technologies.
• Experience creating developer-focused security tooling or libraries.
• Understanding of the security considerations surrounding healthcare and payment data.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and PCI requirements.
• Product and application security experience in a software engineering environment.

• Participation in security capture-the-flag events.
