Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in an hirify.global office in the United States. Listed role locations include Mountain View, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; and Seattle, WA.

Salary: $162,000–$235,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco, Mountain View, or Seattle; $146,000–$211,000 per year for roles based in Pittsburgh. Additional annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Secure hirify.global’s cloud environment through IAM roles and policies, security controls, and resource and service security boundaries.
• Provide cloud and Kubernetes security guidance to infrastructure and application teams.
• Design, build, and configure security infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Create automation that addresses security problems at their root and hardens workflows.
• Manage the security posture of workloads deployed in Kubernetes environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in security engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud and Kubernetes environments, including admission controllers, vulnerability management, supply-chain security, network security, mTLS, and PKI.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, Zero Trust, Kubernetes authorization models, and cloud-native security practices.
• Knowledge of IAM standards and technologies such as OAuth2/OIDC and SAML.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or another modern programming or scripting language for security automation.
• Experience writing and using Terraform.

Nice to have

• Enterprise network security, Linux, CI/CD, and application security experience.
• Familiarity with SOX, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with SPIFFE/SPIRE, mTLS, or equivalent machine identity frameworks.
