Senior Python Backend Engineer (Django/Flask)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems with Python, Django, and Flask.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs with frontend developers and product managers.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, high availability, and performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment and product delivery.
• Design data models and queries for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience focused on Python, preferably Django or Flask.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Ability to work fully remotely, independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FastAPI.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Backend performance tuning and optimization experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Interest in open-source projects or communities.
