Data Engineer (Databricks)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and optimize storage, data modeling, views, and query performance on the data lakehouse platform.
• Implement data quality, integrity, security, lineage, and traceability controls across the data lifecycle.
• Build pipeline observability and automation, including logging, metrics, alerting, performance tuning, and SLA management.
• Create technical documentation for pipelines, data models, and lineage records.
• Write clean, tested production code and contribute to engineering standards using Git, CI/CD, and Agile practices.

Requirements

• Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with at least one programming language, such as Python or R.
• Experience building or working with modern data pipelines at any scale.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schemas, data platforms, data quality, security, and privacy.
• Comfort using AI tools as part of the engineering workflow.
• Clear communication across technical and business teams and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
