Staff Software Engineer (Flink/Streaming Analytics)

What you will do

• Develop expertise in Apache Flink and hirify.global Streaming Analytics products, including SQL Stream Builder.
• Design, implement, test, and release features for on-premise and cloud deployments.
• Plan technical projects, priorities, resources, and work for other engineers.
• Contribute across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring secure, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, support, UX, and documentation teams.
• Support field teams and customers with product adoption, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced degree and experience.
• Experience with Apache Flink, Spark, and/or Kafka.
• Experience building scalable and robust distributed software systems.
• Strong Java skills and proficiency across the Java ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture principles.
• Experience with delivery pipeline tools, CI/CD solutions, automated testing, and strong written and verbal English communication.
• This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or relocation.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience leading engineers through complex project plans.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
