SEO Outreach Specialist - Spain (12 month contract)

Location: Madrid, Spain; candidates must be based in Madrid or willing to relocate

Contract position for 12 months, with availability of 20–40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Build high-quality backlinks for priority Canva landing pages in Spain.
• Develop and manage prospecting pipelines and write personalized outreach campaigns.
• Identify brand mention, editorial, media, and publisher opportunities across Spain.
• Negotiate unpaid link placements and build relationships with publishers, editors, journalists, creators, and community moderators.
• Run messaging experiments, use AI tools for research and drafting, and document results.
• Share insights with the global outreach team and support local SEO, content, marketing, community, and PR initiatives.

Requirements

• Native Spanish and business-level English required.
• Deep knowledge of Spain's digital publishing, media, content creator, and outreach landscape.
• 1–2 years of experience in link building, digital PR, content marketing, or related outreach work.
• Basic understanding of search engines and high-quality backlinks.
• Strong written communication, relationship-building, negotiation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Comfort with AI tools, new software, experimentation, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience creating blog posts, infographics, or design assets for outreach campaigns.
• Experience working with journalists and editors.
• Basic design skills or experience using Canva.
• Experience with Pitchbox, BuzzStream, or other CRM tools.
• Participation in Spain's SEO, marketing, or content creator communities.
