Lead Software Engineer (SaaS)

Location: Dublin, Ohio, United States; hybrid work with three days per week on-site

What you will do

• Lead software development initiatives and design, develop, and test complex systems.
• Build and optimize features for a flagship SaaS platform handling millions of requests per day.
• Develop user-facing React and TypeScript features, backend applications, RESTful APIs, and asset-processing pipelines.
• Address complex metadata management, linked-data integration, search, and discovery requirements.
• Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, technical standards, and innovation initiatives.
• Lead and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers, designers, and leadership on roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience and the ability to lead and mentor teams.
• Strong to expert proficiency in TypeScript and strong proficiency with React 19+.
• Strong experience building user interfaces, server-side applications, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, structured or semi-structured metadata, cloud platforms, and distributed systems; AWS and PostgreSQL are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience integrating AI tools, frameworks, and concepts into software development.

Nice to have

• React Server-Side Rendering, React Server Components, and Next.js App Router experience.
• Material UI v6+, Python with Django, OpenAPI/Swagger, or equivalent Java and object-oriented development experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or content- and metadata-heavy domains.
