Senior Motion Designer (Automotive UX)

Location: Onsite in Warren, Michigan, United States; full-time onsite presence required.

What you will do

• Develop advanced UX concepts and visual directions for future in-vehicle experiences using storyboards, narrative flows, and visual storytelling.
• Create scalable design systems, visual languages, and interface frameworks across platforms and features.
• Produce 2D illustrations, UI explorations, motion studies, and simple 3D models or animations.
• Build low- to high-fidelity prototypes to validate interaction patterns, feature flows, and motion behaviors.
• Iterate on user flows, interaction models, and motion behaviors based on feedback and user needs.
• Collaborate with and present to design, engineering, product, and supplier teams while influencing product decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, Human Interface Design, or a related field.
• Professional experience with motion, animation, or conceptual 3D.
• Portfolio required, demonstrating end-to-end UX processes, systems thinking, low- to high-fidelity prototyping, visual storytelling, narrative design, and complex interaction design.
• Expert proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping tools such as ProtoPie.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in After Effects, Vizcom, Sketch, XD, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling workflows.
• Experience with video creation and editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Understanding of engineering and software constraints.
