What you will do

• Set and evolve the technical direction of the data platform across streaming, batch processing, warehousing, orchestration, governance, and machine learning enablement.
• Lead complex cross-team initiatives from architectural decisions through implementation.
• Design and build reliable real-time pipelines, shared tooling, reusable frameworks, and scalable data infrastructure.
• Establish engineering patterns that help teams build securely, consistently, and efficiently.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence technical priorities through design reviews, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.

Requirements

• Experience providing hands-on technical leadership for data platform engineering.
• Strong background in data modelling, pipeline design, testing, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to design scalable systems for growing data volumes and complex use cases.
• Experience working with Security, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams in a regulated environment.
• Ability to identify systemic risks, reduce complexity, and make pragmatic technical decisions.
