Senior Manual QA Engineer (Desktop macOS)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end QA for PDF Expert iOS, macOS, and Web releases, including release planning, execution, and sign-off.
• Create and maintain test plans, test runs, and test cases in QA Sphere or similar tools.
• Monitor customer issues and crash reports, triage defects, and track resolutions in Jira.
• Validate PDF Expert dependencies, including pdfexpert.com and the checkout flow.
• Help assess the quality of AI-powered features and collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering during planning and reviews.
• Improve QA processes by reviewing test cases and test runs and proposing refinements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on manual QA experience, ideally with native iOS or macOS applications.
• Strong test design skills and experience creating test plans, test cases, and test runs.
• Experience with functional, UI/UX, regression, and localization testing.
• Experience owning release testing and providing sign-off before customer release.
• Practical Jira or similar bug-tracking experience, strong attention to detail, and accurate testing-effort estimation.
• English at B2 level or higher is required for collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience testing subscription, checkout, or in-app purchase flows, including Stripe or PayPal.
• Familiarity with crash-reporting, analytics, and customer-support tools such as Firebase and Helpspot.
• Understanding of security and privacy testing principles.
• Experience testing AI or LLM-based functionality and products across iOS, macOS, and Web.
• Familiarity with Figma and experience reviewing or mentoring on other QA engineers' test cases.
