Fire Engineer (Fire Safety)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership on fire safety engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Develop and assess fire engineering solutions aligned with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant Standards.
• Work with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to explain technical issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Participate in site, construction, and final inspections.
• Prepare and review technical reports, assessments, and project documentation.
• Build client and industry relationships, represent hirify.global at events, and mentor developing engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety Compliance; a Master's in Fire Engineering is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant fire safety Standards.
• Experience delivering fire engineering projects and solving complex technical problems.
• Strong communication, client relationship, project ownership, and collaboration skills.
• New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency required.
