DevOps Engineer (Java, Spring, SQL)

What you will do

• Implement high-quality Java software for business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to solution architecture, technical design, code reviews, and framework stability.
• Participate in deployment activities through production and support continuous integration and DevOps processes.
• Develop automated tests and improve software quality using transparent metrics.
• Work as an active member of a Scrum team, contributing to Agile rituals and continuous improvement.
• Support Operations with production incidents and troubleshoot issues across development, sandbox, and production environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java development experience, including backend and high-volume batch systems.
• Proficiency in Java, JDBC, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and complex relational database schemas.
• Proven experience migrating logic from 4GL environments using Linux, C, Oracle, and Shell.
• Experience with GitLab version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with container-based architectures.
• Ability to set up and maintain a practical development environment and collaborate in a Scrum team.

Nice to have

• Payments or fintech experience, especially acquiring and issuing flows.
• Knowledge of Visa card scheme releases and the Base II protocol.
• Hands-on experience with CA-Gen or the ability to learn its legacy syntax and semantics.
• Experience using Claude or LibreChat for code analysis and refactoring.
