Fullstack Engineer (KYC Tech)

Location: Asia; fully remote

Binance's KYC Technology team builds a platform for seamless customer onboarding, global compliance vendor integrations, and responsible AI/ML use.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed systems processing millions of global user verification requests.
• Build and optimize risk assessment pipelines and case management systems for compliance operations.
• Develop internal tooling and dashboards with React and TypeScript when needed.
• Design RESTful APIs and microservices integrating third-party KYC/AML vendors and internal data sources.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability, automation, testing, code quality, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
• Backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot, Go, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLM-powered tools into production systems, including model serving, inference pipelines, or AI-assisted automation workflows.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices at scale, with knowledge of relational databases, caching, message queues, and distributed systems.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin proficiency is required for coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders.
