Mid-Level Python Developer (Backend)

What you will do

• Own backend features end-to-end, from schema design and API development through production deployment.
• Develop clean, tested asynchronous Python services using REST frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Integrate services with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy or SQLModel, caching layers, and asynchronous message queues.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to prototype, generate boilerplate, expand test coverage, and debug code.
• Optimize query performance and ensure reliability in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads and client teams on technical specifications, code reviews, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.11+, asyncio, typing, and REST API frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Practical experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL, and efficient SQL or ORM queries.
• Experience with automated testing using pytest, code quality practices, structured logging, and Git workflows.
• Experience shipping production code, working with Docker containers, and understanding deployment processes.
• Professional English fluency required, with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or other AI coding tools.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM components, LangChain, or vector databases.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, modern package managers, linters, formatters, cloud platforms, or CI/CD pipelines.
• German language skills at B2+ level.
