Location: Rio de Janeiro; currently fully remote with a future transition to a hybrid setup. Applicants must be based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo and be open to hybrid work.

is a Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.
What you will do
- Architect and implement scalable backend microservices, including core components of the chat platform.
- Build and iterate on web, mobile, and conversational interfaces for remittance services across WhatsApp, web, and mobile applications.
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
- Develop backend services using Google Cloud and established web-service standards.
- Use customer feedback and analytics to improve chatbot effectiveness and conversational user experiences.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications with real-world impact.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher and availability for the current remote/future hybrid work model in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar technologies.
- Curiosity about or experience in fintech.
- Experience developing mobile applications.
