Fractional Enterprise Data & AI Orchestration Architect (AI)

Location: Remote in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, or Uruguay

Compensation: USD $50/hour; approximately 10–20 hours per month on an advisory retainer

What you will do

• Join technical discovery and deep-dive conversations with CTOs, Chief Data Officers, data leaders, and platform engineering teams.
• Advise on enterprise AI, data platform, and orchestration architecture.
• Validate architecture decisions for XData and orchestration-layer proofs of concept.
• Review client proposals for technical soundness, scalability, and feasibility.
• Guide MLOps, observability, AI evaluation, and production AI governance.
• Identify risks, trade-offs, and best practices for complex enterprise AI environments and contribute to technical thought leadership.

Requirements

• Advanced academic background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred and a Master’s degree is also considered.
• Deep hands-on experience building enterprise data platforms in complex, multi-system environments.
• Strong experience with production AI/ML systems, MLOps, observability, evaluation frameworks, and AI governance.
• Experience with agentic or GenAI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to advise senior technical stakeholders.
• Strong English communication skills and availability for a part-time advisory engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or Copilot Studio.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, MLflow, Kubernetes, Airflow, dbt, or similar enterprise data and AI tooling.
