Senior Gameplay Animator (Game Development)

What you will do

• Create high-quality gameplay animations for characters in line with artistic direction and technical standards.
• Implement animations in the game engine using Maya and proprietary engine tools.
• Develop animation for hero traversal, combat, boss encounters, gameplay camera cinematography, missions, and open-world sequences.
• Use motion-capture data and hand-key animation to create believable character movement.
• Troubleshoot animation and integration issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with animation, design, programming, writing, project management, art, audio, character, and rigging teams to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience creating gameplay animation at a high quality bar.
• Advanced knowledge of Maya and familiarity with game engine tools.
• Knowledge of common state-machine flows in a game engine.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and provide constructive feedback on animation direction.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Insomniac proprietary tools.
• Knowledge of MotionBuilder.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere.
