Strategy Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote-eligible role

Salary: $95,800–$114,800, $101,400–$121,500, or $112,700–$135,000 gross annual, depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Support the compliance technology ecosystem, including internal and third-party tools, accelerators, and data sources.
• Analyze stakeholder requirements and design repeatable, scalable data solutions.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from source-system databases and data lakes.
• Create self-service dashboards, analytics solutions, and ongoing compliance metrics.
• Automate data and business intelligence workflows and enhance existing dashboards and analytics.
• Troubleshoot compliance systems, perform root-cause analysis, recommend fixes, and improve documentation and technology accelerators.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
• Experience with risk, compliance, or Trust & Safety systems in payments or financial services.
• Strong analytical skills for organizing, analyzing, and communicating insights from large datasets.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the data science development lifecycle, including feature engineering, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with the modern data stack, such as Fivetran, Starburst, or dbt.
• Familiarity with MLOps, data pipelines, Palantir Foundry, backend development, or compliance and anti-money-laundering systems.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and models such as Sonnet and Gemini.
