Risk Adjustment Coding Professional 1 (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; 8-hour Monday–Friday shifts starting between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM Eastern Standard Time. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices, conferences, or team-building events may be required and will not exceed 5%.

Salary: $53,700–$72,600 per year

What you will do

• Conduct quality assurance audits of medical records and ICD-9/10 diagnosis codes.
• Verify that coding is accurate and supported by clinical documentation.
• Analyze coding information and medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations, CMS requirements, and internal guidelines.
• Participate in provider education programs focused on coding compliance.
• Manage multiple high-priority assignments and meet internal and external deadlines.

Requirements

• Certified Coder certification: CPC, CCS, or CCA.
• Three years of related coding and risk adjustment experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work a Monday–Friday 8-hour shift with an Eastern Standard Time start between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
• Dedicated, interruption-free home workspace for protecting member PHI and HIPAA information, plus wired cable or DSL internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed. Satellite and wireless internet are not allowed.
