What you will do
- Own GAAP accounting, including monthly and quarterly closes, expense and revenue tracking, and financial statement preparation.
- Model revenue recognition across SaaS revenue streams and prepare KPI reports, presentations, and communications for investors and business partners.
- Create and maintain company budgets, financial projections, and scalable processes that improve operational efficiency.
- Own HR and people operations, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, semi-monthly payroll, and regulatory compliance across multiple states.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and service terms, resolve disputes, and procure services, office space, insurance, and workplace supplies.
- Support office operations by organizing team activities, onboarding employees, and managing office layouts and events.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in finance as a controller, accountant, or similar role, preferably in SaaS.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting methodology.
- Expertise with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical, data-driven, organized, and process-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high level of autonomy.
- Experience with MySQL, Salesforce, or database and visualization tools is a plus; CPA certification is not required.

- Experience in fast-moving technology companies or startups.
