Senior Backend Engineer (Django)

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend systems with Django, Django REST Framework, and PostgreSQL.
• Optimize Django Admin workflows, database schemas, migrations, and complex business logic.
• Develop REST APIs for mobile apps, web platforms, and partner integrations.
• Implement third-party integrations including Stripe, PayPal, Twilio, SendGrid, AWS S3, OpenAI, social platforms, and Zapier.
• Manage asynchronous background tasks with Redis, RQ, and related tooling.
• Collaborate on architecture, backend standards, testing, CI stability, performance improvements, and production issue resolution.

Requirements

• Deep experience building production Django applications with Python and strong Django REST Framework knowledge.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience, including indexing, query optimization, schema design, data flows, and migrations.
• Experience designing REST APIs, integrating third-party APIs, and handling webhooks.
• Experience with Redis and job queues such as RQ or Celery, including retries, failure handling, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of JWT authentication, rate limiting, secure data flows, Django security, Docker, deployment platforms, and CI systems.
• Strong testing practices with Django Test Framework or pytest-django, plus familiarity with Factory Boy or Faker.
