Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Dublin, Ireland

Salary: $71,000–$104,500 starting base salary annually for Ireland-based roles

What you will do

• Lead shift-left security initiatives and implement SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, and secrets management within CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop maintainable security tooling, automation frameworks, integrations, and reporting workflows in Python, Golang, or related languages.
• Analyze vulnerability findings, validate impact, and partner with product teams on remediation strategies.
• Design scalable security architectures, conduct architecture reviews, and establish security controls and threat mitigation practices.
• Evaluate, customize, and integrate commercial and open-source security tools.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, operations, incident response, and offensive security teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security operations, application security, or DevSecOps, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Experience with Python, Golang, or similar scripting and automation languages.
• Deep application security knowledge, including secure coding, OWASP Top 10, API security, threat modeling, SAST, DAST, and SCA.
• Experience with vulnerability management, remediation prioritization, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows.
• Ability to design security architectures for complex threat models and organizational compliance requirements at scale.
• Strong REST and GraphQL API experience, including authentication, authorization, and API security implications.
