Media & Communication Trainee

What you will do

• Support communication campaigns across PR, social media, influencer marketing, and advertising.
• Create and schedule content for social media and PR activities.
• Map, pitch, and contact media outlets, podcasters, stakeholder organisations, and influencers for European projects.
• Coordinate with local PR agencies and support media and influencer activations.
• Monitor media coverage and social media engagement, including manual desk research.
• Collect, analyze, and present campaign results while supporting community management, meetings, brainstorming, and daily administration.

Requirements

• Interest in media, communications, and digital marketing, with willingness to learn.
• Curiosity about European institutions and their communication activities.
• Good storytelling and pitching skills, strong organization, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and residency in Belgium.

Nice to have

• French, Dutch, or German language skills.
