Public Relations Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Hybrid at the East Aurora facility; must live local to the Buffalo, NY area

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Assess existing external communications and media presence to identify opportunities for greater clarity, consistency, and visibility.
• Develop an external communications and PR strategy aligned with business priorities and brand identity.
• Build relationships with journalists and media outlets and pitch stories about hirify.global’s people, products, and impact.
• Draft press releases, media statements, talking points, and other external communications materials.
• Establish scalable tools and templates for media outreach, approvals, and reporting.
• Collaborate with marketing, HR, and business units to align messaging and priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a closely related field.
• More than 8 years of professional PR or communications experience, ideally in large or global organizations.
• Experience with rapid-response planning, stakeholder management, and message control in high-pressure situations.
• Strong writing and editing skills, including drafting press releases, statements, and external messaging.
• Experience building media relationships and contributing to or leading PR strategy.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a complex, matrixed environment.
