Senior Service Designer

Location: UK hybrid

Salary: £46,000–£65,000 monthly, subject to location and experience.

What you will do

• Create end-to-end, evidence-based services that are inclusive, accessible, and effective.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and clients through complex service design and transformation projects.
• Support and line-manage service designers, including appraisals and professional development.
• Define and improve service design practices across NEC Digital Studio.
• Support new business through opportunity identification, proposals, and pitches.
• Work with researchers, interaction and content designers, developers, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering service design projects.
• Experience with systems thinking, strategy, service mapping, and strategic recommendations.
• Skills in user-centred journeys, facilitation, organisation design, visual and written communication, and prototyping.
• Experience managing stakeholders, budgets, implementation recommendations, complexity, and ambiguity.
• Knowledge and experience applying GDS principles, potentially including participation in service assessments.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK is required; documentary evidence will be requested. SC clearance is required.
