Staff UX Designer (AI)

Location: Based in Sofia, Bulgaria; occasional travel of approximately 10% for research and team collaboration.

What you will do

• Own a functional design area end to end, from problem framing and research through wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
• Plan and conduct strategic qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, usability testing, A/B testing, and concept validation.
• Define KPIs and analytics strategies with product teams to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to and apply the Phoenix design system, including scalable patterns, component design, rollout, and governance.
• Lead design for AI-powered experiences such as agentic workflows, AI assistants, and automated decision surfaces.
• Communicate design strategy across Product, Engineering, and leadership while mentoring Senior and mid-level designers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise or SaaS UX work.
• Independent experience planning and running qualitative and quantitative research.
• Meaningful contribution to a design system and cross-team collaboration on its rollout and governance.
• Experience designing AI-powered features with strategic ownership of direction and patterns.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto layout, advanced prototyping, and design-system contribution; familiarity with AI-assisted design tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or Bolt.
• Experience with product analytics tools such as Pendo or Google Analytics, strong facilitation and communication skills, and a record of mentoring designers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or prompt design for user-facing product experiences.
• Experience with formal design systems and enterprise SaaS software.
• Understanding of API or product architecture decisions affecting UX in multi-tenant environments.
