Senior Manager, User Experience (AI)

Location: Fully remote within Bulgaria

What you will do

• Lead designers and researchers while setting the quality standard for UX craft, prototyping, interaction design, accessibility, and research review.
• Define AI UX principles, interaction patterns, guardrails, and evaluation methods for agent capabilities across the product portfolio.
• Build and scale Design Operations, Research Operations, design systems, research standards, tooling, templates, and participant recruitment processes.
• Strengthen Jobs to Be Done practice by coaching teams on switch interviews, job stories, and evidence-based product decisions.
• Partner with Product and Engineering on handoff standards, technical documentation, feasibility trade-offs, and roadmap influence.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop the UX organization, including career frameworks for individual contributors and people leaders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of substantial UX experience with depth in both user research and product design.
• At least 5 years of direct management experience with designers and/or researchers, including demonstrated people development.
• Hands-on Jobs to Be Done experience, including switch interviews and translating research into job stories.
• Experience designing or leading AI- or ML-powered features and defining trustworthy user experiences.
• Strong research methodology, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, UX metrics, Agile collaboration, and design-to-engineering handoff skills.
• B2B or enterprise SaaS experience, ideally with developer- or IT-adjacent products.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem or a comparable platform ecosystem.
• Experience scaling a design system or research repository from scratch.
• Experience creating or rewriting UX career frameworks and levelling criteria.
• Experience contributing to an accessibility conformance program.
