Senior Principal Engineer - Platform (Satellite Systems)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for satellite platforms, including requirements definition, architecture design, subsystem integration, and performance analysis.
• Coordinate propulsion, power, thermal, avionics, and structural subsystems to ensure platform compatibility and mission success.
• Manage interface control documents, mass, power and data budgets, verification plans, trade studies, risk assessments, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with payload engineers, mission planners, ground segment specialists, and other cross-functional teams on system integration.
• Support launch and early orbit operations, anomaly resolution, post-launch performance evaluation, and satellite platform R&D.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical expertise to proposals, customer engagements, business development, and engineering process improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in satellite systems engineering, preferably with flight-proven platforms.
• Proven experience leading satellite projects from concept through deployment.
• Extensive experience in satellite design, integration, and testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong systems engineering, analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, leadership, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with satellite industry standards, regulatory requirements, relevant software tools, and programming languages.
