Senior Database Administrator (PostgreSQL & ClickHouse)

Location: Onsite, primarily working from an HPE partner or customer office

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor PostgreSQL and ClickHouse servers across development, staging, and production environments.
• Optimize database architecture, queries, indexes, and configurations for low-latency and high-throughput workloads.
• Configure backup, disaster recovery, replication, clustering, and failover solutions.
• Apply encryption, access controls, audit logging, and database security practices to support compliance.
• Investigate incidents, performance issues, and database failures, serving as an escalation point for complex problems.
• Collaborate with application, analytics, and DevOps teams and document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of database administration experience with strong PostgreSQL and ClickHouse expertise.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, configuration, replication, tuning, and ClickHouse optimization for large-scale analytics.
• Advanced SQL and query optimization skills, with experience using backup and recovery tools such as pgBackRest, Barman, and ClickHouse utilities.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-hosted database services such as AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database, or GCP.
