About the Role
You will own the data transformation layer and build scalable data models using dbt, SQL, Trino, and GCP-based infrastructure. You will establish modeling, testing, monitoring, and change-management standards; work with stakeholders on requirements; and integrate data models with BI and reverse-ETL processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of analytics engineering or data engineering experience focused on ELT transformation
- Experience owning data products end-to-end
- Expert SQL and dbt skills
- Python proficiency
- Experience optimizing OLTP and OLAP queries
- Proficiency with semantic layer modeling
- Experience owning CI/CD workflows, version control, and code-review standards
- Familiarity with GCP or AWS
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt and SQL
- Establish data modeling, development, testing, and monitoring standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products
- Integrate data models with BI tools and reverse ETL processes
- Manage source control, code reviews, change management, and data monitoring
- Improve data warehouse performance and ETL efficiency
