Junior Product Advisor (Gaming & Trends)

What you will do

• Track new game releases, franchises, genres, platforms, technologies, publishers, developers, and player behaviour.
• Monitor gaming conversations, creators, memes, and community trends across TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, Discord, and X.
• Research competitors and comparable products in gaming and digital media markets.
• Support product planning by researching concepts, preparing briefs and audience summaries, and providing recommendations.
• Review products and features from a gamer’s perspective, participate in testing, and identify usability issues and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Editorial, Audience, Social, Technology, and other teams while tracking assigned activities and deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the gaming industry, current games, established franchises, classic titles, and emerging trends.
• Active interest in multiple gaming genres and platforms, with a strong understanding of gaming communities.
• Experience curating or creating a game community, running an engaged YouTube channel, or influencing gaming or pop-culture communities.
• Strong understanding of Discord and active participation in the community.
• Ability to identify trends, research information, communicate findings clearly, and explain relevance to audiences or products.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, collaboration, proactivity, and willingness to develop a career in product development.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming, digital media, social media, community management, research, or product development.
• Experience testing digital products, websites, apps, or online features.
• Familiarity with product development processes, project management tools, product briefs, research summaries, or competitor analyses.
• Knowledge of gaming media, esports, streaming, content creators, and gaming-related consumer products.
