Cyber Security Professional (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Monitor, analyse, and respond to security events and incidents across customer, BT, and commercial networks.
• Work in a 24/7/365 Security Operations Centre with required shift coverage.
• Detect and investigate malicious or unusual activity that may indicate compromise or a security incident.
• Support incident investigation, resolution, and reporting of potential or actual protective security breaches.
• Maintain operational relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and third parties.
• Support and maintain the CySOC ISO 27001 certificate.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity risks, security solutions, and threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, operating systems, and the OSI model.
• Basic knowledge of network security, including remote access, DMZ architecture, network monitoring, intrusion detection, and web server security.
• Knowledge of security logging and SIEM tools, security management, information security, and incident management.
• Knowledge of at least one security methodology, such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Operational experience in a Security Operations Centre or Network Operations Centre, together with communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
