Salary: $47.84-$79.11 per hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and operate laboratory information systems.
• Analyze application, interface, workflow, and user requirements to develop technical solutions.
• Define and document system requirements, specifications, scope, objectives, and need-gap analyses.
• Design, test, troubleshoot, and maintain interfaces and data integration technologies.
• Create scripts that perform interface functions and resolve application problems.
• Coordinate with users, vendors, contractors, community partners, and Health Sciences Campus leadership on project delivery and system operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of work experience, certifications, and education.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory in a healthcare setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, evaluation, organization, and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical flows into workflows for different organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and fulfill on-call requirements.
• LA City Fire Life Safety Training is required within 30 days of hire if not held at hiring.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of Cerner PathNet GenLab and Blood Bank Millennium experience, including system design, documentation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Blood bank experience.
